HOW SHOULD I USE WIKIPEDIA?
Wikipedia is a "wiki." That means that anyone can add or modify the information in the articles found there. Information in Wikipedia can be out of date, incorrect, or biased; some of the information is good; some of it is bad.

So, how can you use Wikipedia?

  • Read Wikipedia articles to give yourself background knowledge on a topic

  • Use keywords you find in Wikipedia articles when you search in databases or on the Internet.

  • Click on the citations, references, and external links at the bottom of Wikipedia articles to find original source informationthat is documented.

  • DO NOT USE Wikipedia as a source for any paper submitted for school.
